In an effort to strengthen the ladies sector, an online shopping business "ViVi fleurs" was launched, and a brand for women in the workforce "With Performance" was released. ipad was introduced at all Haruyama Trading stores (365 stores)

Full-scale partnership with the British company Huddersfield in the handling of “J&J MINNIS,” a favorite fabric brand among the British royal family.

November, 2010

 First opening of “Million Carats” in Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store.
Release of “Colantotte Suit,” a magnetic health suit which eases “stiff shoulders and “back pain” by means of an in-built magnetic sheet.

Using ”J&J MINNIS,” a favorite fabric brand among the British royal family, a British-style high-end suit was developed. 

P.S.FA Platinum Daimaru Umeda Store, originally a menswear only store, reopened after renovation, becoming a menswear and ladies wear store.

Ladies casual brand “Million Carats” opened at Omiya OPA.

Joint fabric development of fabric with a renowned Italian fabric manufacturer “Drago”, creating a high-end brand using luxury fabric.
Autumn recruitment was carried out due to the opening of new stores.

Haruyama official online store business was launched.

Release of a cool-biz-related product, “Solar Guard Suit” which shields both infrared and ultraviolet rays, and reduces the rise in temperature within the suit.

A summer “Ultra-lightweight Suit” weighing 399g (A type, size 5) was released, which is 35% lighter in weight than a conventional suit.

 In response to the golf boom, an exclusive distribution of a casual golf brand “Maxfli” was launched.
 

Responding to the expansion of the odor market, a cool-biz dress shirt with anti-odor properties for the summer season and deodorant innerwear were released.

February, 2010

“Full of love campaign” began.  As advertising personalities, Yui Aragaki, Nobuhiko Takada, and Umika Kawashima were hired.  An advertising campaign featuring endearing products for customers was decided on.

As a sports promotion effort, we co-sponsored an Okayama junior softball club tournament with guest participants from neighboring prefectures.

 In strengthening the sales of ladies’ products for those entering into the workforce, “Vivifleurs”, a licensed brand of the popular fashion magazine “ViVi,” was released.
December, 2009

Release of “Nano Miracle Suit,” a warm biz suit with thermal effect, wrinkle-proof, water-repellent and oil-repellent functions was released.

New ladies’ recruit product “Washable Ladies’ Job-Hunting Suit” was released.

As part of the ladies’ recruit product, “Ladies Clean Virus-Free Suit,” a suit with anti-flu properties, was released.
October, 2009

“Menswear Haruyama Shinjuku South Store,” the 4th store in the Tokyo Metropolitan area was opened.

Worldwide influenza epidemic.  An “Anti-Flu Suit” which uses photocatalyst so as not to take the virus back home, was released.

Warm-biz “i-shirt” was released.

“P.S.FA Platinum Daimaru Sapporo Store,” the first in Hokkaido and the 2nd in a Daimaru Department Store, was opened.

The first ladies casual brand “Million Carats Store,” was opened. (3 consecutive stores opened in the Tokyo Metropolitan area)

Mid-summer shirt “Trehacool,” which uses trehalose was released.

Menswear Haruyama opened for 6 days in the Daimaru Umeda Store, participating in a department store event for the first time.

A “washable suit,” which is machine washable and saves on dry cleaning bills, was released.

June, 2009

 “i-pants,”  a washable cool-type pants with cool-to-the-touch material was released.
Summer formal “-7.5 °Ultimate Cool Ceremonial Suit,” using Unitika Textile’s newly-developed material, was released.

The world’s first suit equipped with cooling pads, “New Ice Suit” was released.


April, 2009

 Penetrated into the ladies sector from 2009 autumn-winter, launching the ladies’ fashion business “Million Carats.”  

Ultra water-repellent “Clean and Eco Suit,” strong against rain and dirt, was released.

A cool-biz style and cool-to-the-touch dress shirt “i-shirt,” the first of its kind in the industry, was released.

A specialized cool-biz “4-Way Suit,” which provides a broad range of usage, was released.


March 2009

The release of “Lightweight Air Shoes,” easy on the feet, impact absorbing and weight relieving business shoes, the first of its kind in the industry.
 
“P.S.FA Platinum“ opened for the first time in Daimaru Umeda Store (Osaka).

  In a cooperative effort with Regal Corporation, “Ashinaga Shoes,” shoes designed to make your legs look longer, was released.

December, 2008

New Year’s lucky bags were released.  New project, “all-you-can-pack lucky bags” as well as brand lucky bags were planned.

 First of its kind, a highly water-repellent and highly water-resistant business coat “Henry Forman,” was released.Pattern order business for luxury hand-painted shoes by Asakusa tradesmen was launched in the GOLDBIZ Koshigaya Store.


October, 2008

A thermal recyclable men’s formal “f 2 Stage” was released.

P.S.FA mobile EC site was launched.

The first of the joint business-academia project “Haruyama 100 people project” was launched.

 The first store in Kyoto, P.S.FA Kyoto Shijo Store and the 2nd store in Kawagoe, P.S.FA Kawagoe Modi, were opened.

First of a kind ladies suit TV commercial was aired with Erika Toda.  New ladies suit brand “Le Samurai Femme Alain Delon” was released.

Suica was introduced at 3 Tokyo stores:  Haruyama Blue Label Gotanda Store, Kichijoji Store and Edogawa Kasai Station Store.

High-end men’s suit brand “Roberta Di Camerino” was released.
“Balestrino,” a coat equipped with windbreaking, waterproofing, water-resistance and moisture permeability, was released.

Provided the uniform for the 24th Universiade in Bangkok

First of a kind, lightweight air suit (435g) released.  Hired track and field pole vault champion Daichi Sawano as the television commercial personality.

 High-end brand “Yumi Katsura” mens suit was released.

New Haruyama Blue Label store in Gifu opened.

Released 2B stylish suit.  Hired track and field champion Shingo Suetsugu as the television commercial personality.

Electronic money Edy became usable in all Menswear Haruyama, Muscat and P.S. F.A stores nationwide. 

Based on partnership with All Nippon Airways Trading Company, mileage club members who shop at Haruyama could now accumulate mileage.

Wrinkle recovery relaxing suit was released.

Transfer of the menswear business from Matsuya Company Limited.

First Menswear Haruyama store opened in Gunma Prefecture (former Matsuya Store was renovated and reopened).

Haruyama Trading Company subsidiary, H.M was established.

Co-sponsored Japan Olympic Committee’s  (JOC) official partnership program, and as a JOC official partner, supported the Japanese team at the Beijing Olympics.

With the huge success of the ashinaga (long legs) suit,  we received the 2004 Nikkei Excellent Product and Service of the Year Award, as well as the Award of Excellence and the Nikkei MJ Award.

For the ashinaga (long legs) S-line suit advertisement, Toshiaki Karasawa was hired as the image character.

In Akita City, Akita Prefecture, a menswear specialty shop “Menswear Muscat Akita Tsuchizaki Store” was opened.

A metropolitan, inner-city type “Osaka Umeda Store” was opened in Osaka-shi, Kita-ku, Umeda.

The “Tokyo Menswear Company” and the former “Haruyama Trading Company” (established in July, 1973 as an exclusive purchasing company) were merged.  With the total of 138 stores, the corporate name was changed to “Haruyama Trading Company.”

October, 1988

As our iconic store, “Okayama Aoe Head Store” was opened in Aoe, Okayama-shi, Okayama Prefecture.

February, 1986

The main office was moved from 1-10-10 Nakayamashimo, Okayama-shi, Okayama Prefecture to 1-2-3 Omotemachi, Okayama-shi, Okayama Prefecture.

October , 1978
